E-books vs print books

In the year 2010, the E-book sales in US have a continuous break record with an increase of 164.4 percent. But however for the US book sales; there is only an increase of 2.4 percent for the year December 2010 and increase of 3.6 percent for the year December 2009. So, from this statistic we can easily see that the number of sales for the E-book is increasing rapidly but the print books are started to slow down. The only advantage that can be found in e-books is the flexibility and accessibility over printed books (William Douglas Woody, 2010). For the convenience of students, not every subject are suitable to use in the e-books. For example, subjects for calculation are not suitable as students need to practice on the given questions but unlike non-calculation subjects. Students could just read and study over the screen and able for them to highlight the important points.

Besides that, student can just save what they have done in their e-book and easily for them to focus with the different colors. Apart from that, not every student would like to prefer e-books for their own reading summaries but print books (William Douglas Woody, 2010). The reason is because e-books have not really engaged into web activities but print books do and print books may able to allow these students to read section summaries and answer all the study questions.

As shown in the issue, even though there are advantages and disadvantages in the both e-books and print books but however, in the last, students are back to the PDF format article as there are no highlights and making notes in it. As in nowadays, most of the students are still prefer to use print books even though it is a traditional way of studying but is way easier for them in a book instead of a small screen.

Yes, eBooks are very popular these days, because it's a much simple way to read a book. You can go everywhere with those little devices. The only inconvenience is that we must pay for some of them. There are also sites like All you can books where we can download eBooks in our free trial period.
